How to use the state list
Each state entry points to the official small-claims page for that jurisdiction and summarizes only what that page states: who may file, the amount limit, which court hears the claim, and where the official forms come from. A fact that cannot be confirmed from the official source is not printed, and new jurisdictions are added only after that verification. Where a large city publishes a distinct small-claims process, it appears as its own entry.
